Group Tours
Biblical Creation Tours in the Great Smoky Mountains

Take the Classroom Into the Smokies
A group tour of Great Smoky Mountains National Park is an opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable adventure together. Our experienced guides blend fascinating sights, memorable stories, and biblical creation teaching for students, churches, families, and ministry groups.
Our guides teach in the places where the subject is visible. A folded rock exposure becomes a geology lesson. A forest or mountain stream opens a conversation about living systems and design. A historic church, cabin, or settlement brings Appalachian history into the place where it happened.
Group experiences are highly customizable. Educators and leaders can emphasize geology, biology and ecology, Appalachian history, or combine subjects across several locations or multiple days.
Three Ways to Explore the Smokies
Choose one emphasis or combine them into a broader creation-focused experience.
Geology and the Biblical Flood
Where did these mountains come from? What is distinctive about the rocks in this region, and what kinds of events shaped them? This experience introduces rock types, strata, deformation, plate tectonics and continental relationships, the regional fossil record, and the way Canyon Ministries interprets these observations within the biblical accounts of creation and the global Flood.
The tour often emphasizes the western side of the park and Foothills Parkway, with the possibility of an easy paved walk toward Look Rock. Exact stops can be adjusted for your group’s goals, mobility, schedule, and transportation.

Creation Biology and Ecology
The Smokies are an exceptional place to study living creation. From black bears and elk to salamanders, wildflowers, forests, fungi, insects, and mountain streams, the park gives students countless opportunities to observe organisms and the systems in which they live.
Teaching focuses on design, ecological relationships, variation, adaptation, stewardship, and how living things fit within a biblical creation framework. This experience often uses the main park corridor from Sugarlands toward Newfound Gap, with stops selected around your group’s interests and current conditions.
Appalachian Church History
The southern Appalachians preserve a rich record of community life, churches, settlement, and Christian influence. This experience uses historic places to discuss the religious life of Appalachian communities, the role of churches in mountain settlements, debates over Scripture and the natural world, and the complicated history surrounding the creation of Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Cades Cove is a natural setting for this emphasis because historic churches, cabins, roads, fields, and community sites remain visible across the landscape. The route can be adapted to the interests and needs of your group.

Transportation in the Park
Groups are responsible for transportation to the park and during the tour. If you hire commercial transportation such as a coach bus, confirm that the transportation provider has the authorization required to operate inside Great Smoky Mountains National Park.
Simple Flat-Rate Group Pricing
Our group tours use straightforward flat-rate pricing based on total group size rather than a per-person charge.
Additional non-tour teaching sessions begin at $100 for a one-hour presentation and can be arranged before or after your field experience.

Build the Right Experience for Your Group
You do not need to decide every stop before contacting us. Tell us who you are bringing, how much time you have, the ages in your group, and what subjects matter most to you. We can help shape an experience around those priorities.
A school may want a focused field lesson. A church may prefer a broad overview of creation in the Smokies. A group staying several days may want to combine locations or add a separate evening presentation. The purpose of customization is to make the tour fit your group rather than forcing every group into the same itinerary.
