About A Different View Tours: Smokies
Discover the wonder of the Smokies with the engaging guides and biblical creation teaching of Canyon Ministries.
Great Guides. Unforgettable Experiences.
Since 1997, Canyon Ministries has been helping guests experience the wonder of God’s creation through unforgettable guided tours and adventures. Beginning at the Grand Canyon, our guides have brought geology, natural history, and Scripture together through engaging teaching, great stories, and experiences guests remember long after their trip.
Over time, that approach became central to how Canyon Ministries teaches: go to the place itself, look carefully at what is there, explain the observations clearly, and give guests room to ask questions.
A Different View Tours: Smokies brings that same method into the southern Appalachians. The setting is completely different. Instead of a desert canyon dominated by exposed rock, the Smokies combine complex geology with forests, streams, wildlife, biodiversity, weather, and Appalachian history. That makes them an ideal second major field-teaching environment for the ministry.

The Difference a Great Guide Makes
A photograph can show you a mountain, but it cannot point out the fold in a rock exposure, explain why a particular forest changes with elevation, answer a question about a stream, or connect a historic place with the people who lived there.
That is the role of a guide. We help guests notice what they might otherwise pass by and place individual observations into a larger story. The best tours leave people with better questions, better understanding, and a stronger memory of the place because they know more about what they actually saw.
