A Day of Discovery

Depending on the route, your day may include mountain overlooks, folded or layered rock, rushing streams, forest communities, wildlife habitat, and preserved Appalachian history. Some teaching happens at the roadside. Some happens on short walks. Some happens while the larger landscape stretches out in front of you.

The guide ties those individual stops together. A rock exposure is not treated as an isolated curiosity, and a forest is more than a backdrop. Each becomes part of a larger conversation about the history and design of the world we are exploring.

There is also room simply to enjoy the Smokies. We want guests to have time to look, photograph, ask questions, and experience the park rather than feel hurried through a checklist of stops.

More Than Meets The Eye

The Smokies are especially valuable because so many different subjects can be explored in the same landscape.

Geology

Study rock layers, deformation, erosion, uplift, and mountain-building within a biblical Flood framework.

Living Creation

Study forests, plants, wildlife, biodiversity, habitats, and interconnected living systems throughout the park.

Water & Landscape

Study mountain streams, drainage, erosion, waterfalls, weather, and the role of water across the Smokies.

People & History

Study Cherokee history, Appalachian communities, historic structures, roads, settlement, and the national park story.

Who Are These Tours For?

Our tours are designed for people who enjoy the outdoors and want more context for what they are seeing. Families, individuals, church groups, Christian schools, homeschool families, and visitors who are simply curious about a biblical creation perspective are all welcome.

You do not need a background in geology, biology, or theology. Our guides explain ideas in approachable language and adapt the conversation to the people in front of them. Children and adults often notice different things, and both kinds of questions add to the fun.

Bringing a School, Church, or Other Group?

Group tours can be customized around the interests and goals of your organization. A school may want to emphasize geology or biology. A church may want a broader creation-focused experience. A multi-day group may combine several locations and add an additional teaching session before or after the field tour.

Our group page explains the current options, locations, and group pricing in more detail.
